Dear Mr. Bell:
Please find attached a copy of our ten (10) day notification letter dated
June 8, 1987. In our letter we stated we would like to start work on or about
June 22, 1987.
Due to a scheduling problem, Kimmins Industrial Service
Corporation would like to start work the week of June 15, 1987 and be completed
July 10, 1987. This letter is to confirm my conversation with Mr. Bob Mauel
of your office, Mr. Steve Rossing, Texas Air Control Board, Bellaire office,
and Mr. Ron Schultz of the Galveston Environmental Control Service. All
parties were in agreement this would be acceptable.

Dear Mr. Stewart,
This letter is to inform you that Kimmina Industrial Service Corporation will be dismantling a section of Union Carbide Corp.'s Number 2 Olefins Unit, located at the Texas City Facility. A part of the dismantling includes the removal of approximately 1,000 linear feet of asbestos containing insulation. The removal will start on or about June 22, 1987 and be completed by July 17, 1987.
All asbestos containing material shall be thoroughly wetted and deposited in leak proof, labeled containers. All asbestos insulation will be disposed of by Union Carbide at Gulf Coast's Texas City Faci 1 ity.
