Powhatan Mining Corporation, Woodlawn, Maryland Memorandum on Follow-up Visit
4 On January 21, 1943 a follow-up visit was made of the Powhatan Mining Corporation
to determine if necessary priorities had been obtained for the dust collecting equip-
'i.'ment and what progress had been made to install the equipment. Mr. Fred Matt,
; Manager, was contacted and the dust problem discussed.
Mr. Matt stated that the priorities for the equipment had bean obtained and
. that part of the equipment had been received. Mr* Jiett also stated that he thought .
the equipment could not be installed until better weather conditions prevailed and that
- it would probably be spring before- the installation was completed.

On May 25, 1944 a follow-up visit was made to the Powhatan Mining Corporation .
Asbestos Crushing Plant at Woodlawn, Maryland to determine if dust collecting and new
' production equipment had been installed.

Part of the equipment is en. route, part has been received, and part is on order
v but has not been shipped. It is planned to install the equipment as soon as all of it' .
