Hello,
I hope this note finds you all very well. Since we last communicated, the Department recently released its Energy Burdens Report ("Report"), which provides a full analysis of burdens in place that unnecessarily hinder production on federal lands. Along with the Report, the Secretary announced the Executive Committee for Expedited Permitting (the "ECEP") which was the most recent initiative about which this group was communicating.
The break between our convening was based upon the ECEP being announced and launched as this group will be supporting the ECEP. So, I apologize for the communication gap; and, thank you for your patience. Very recently, the ECEP, which will give attention to a wide-range of permitting improvement initiatives, had its initial meeting and I would like for us to converge again so I can bring you up to date and share some initial ideas for collective discussion.
Gisella (copied) will be inviting you all to a meeting next week (along with a conference line) so that we can pick-up on our work.Thank you for the work we have done together so far. The ECEP is the product of this group; so, I am excited to continue our work together.
Best, Vincent
