l have discussed with Harry Rhodes the testimony to be given at the Standards Board hearing on November 8 Marry informs me he will be testifying on the behalf of llnicn Carbide; the AIA will not be mentioned during h is testimony. Harry presently is preparing his presentation and plans to submit it to us and others for comment. Harry docs not believe it necessary for J-M to comment; however, he would appreciate our written support of his submitted testimony and perhaps the presence of a J-M representative during the hearing. Harry does not propose to respond to the first two questions in the hearing notice. That problem is being left to Riverside Cement. His testimony will cover points 3, 4 and 5. He will not comment on question r . On question 3 Harry will recommend levels of 1 f/cc as an 8 hour time-weighted average and 10 f/cc as a ceiling concentration. These values, of curse, are the action level limits presently specified by California.
