Kahe Station - Unit No. 3. Honolulu. Hawaii Purchaser: Amfac Inc. Honolulu, Hawaii Contract Administration and Engineering files are missing. This report is prepared from available information. Also for further details on materials supplied as part of CE's setting work scope, see boiler/insulation report on exact duplicate Contract No. 12867, which follows (Unit 4/Kahe Station). CE furnished (1) 81-1/2 MW Type "RRP" steam Generating Unit having a capacity of 575,000 lbs./steam per hour - no peak. Furnace width 19'-11" and furnace depth 28'-8". Purchaser supplied necessary field labor-to install the CE supplied boiler, auxiliaries and setting materials. Purchaser supplied and installed insulation materials. Purchasing Department order log book indicates CE issued orders on suppliers as follows: P.0. Purchaser supplied necessary field labor to install the CE supplied boiler, auxiliaries and setting materials. Hawaiian Electrics Boiler Erection Subcontractor "Central Pacific Boiler & Piping Co. Purchaser supplied and installed insulation materials. Documents in file indicate that Kahe Units #1 & #2 are Babcock & Wilcox boilers. Manufacturers Data Report indicates Boiler Serial No. and National Board No. 20881 and year built 1970-71 with Certification of Field Assembly Inspection - Post Hydro by the Home Improvement Co. of New York, New York on 2/17/72. Customer's Erection Subcontractor Central Pacific Boiler & Piping Co. certified on 2/17/72 boiler erection was performed in accordance with requirements of ASME Code. CE Erector was W. R. Cole. Unit went into commercial operation on 7/4/72. CE Proposal No. 37366 1/10/67 is included as part of AMFAC's purchase order for the boiler. Proposal is not in the file. 000008 J.
