There is opportunity for presentation of views opposing these orders. As I was a member of the board that developed them, I feel they are reasonably good; however, though my input in this particular area was not great, I do not feel that Z should oppose them. Enclosed is a copy of a new Safety Order 5208, Asbestos, which sets the standards for safe levels and work practices for asbestos workers and which was adopted by the Olvision of industrial Safety as an emergency standard effective March 30, 1973. The adoption of this emergency regula tion as a general order is to be considered at meetings announced in the attached Notice of Public Hearing. You are invited to attend these hearings, at which time you will have the opportunity to comment on these proposed Orders. If you are not able to attend these hearings, assurance is hereby given that written comments received in the Division's office prior to the hearings will be given the same consideration as those presented in person. - - After adoption by the Industrial Safety Board,, and prior to filing of the Orders with the Secretary of State, copies of the adopted revisions to the Orders will be mailed to all who attended the public hearings or who submitted written coments.
