The first pallet (blue rings) was made from the new recipe on Saturday morning last, and the boards were reasonably acceptable. The pallets with yellow rings, contain boards which were produced on Monday last and in view of the "scrappy" edges, unfilled portions and distorted wings are unacceptable to Quality Control. In view of the critical supply situation and the fact that Jack Thcbo, ti>e saxcstuan, prepared to watch these boards especially and to do - some'sanding where necessary, these pallets will be released from "Hold" and may be shipped. It is emphasized that this standard of product will not be accepted by Quality Control for future supplies and this comment is directed to the Technical Department, the production supervisor, and the Quality Control technicians. At the same time all concerned should note that no material which has a Quality Control "Hold" tag on ir is to be packaged. These pallets with yellow rings were a violation of this rule.
