The Thermal Incineration Unit, the R-305 Catalytic Reactor on Oxychlorination Vent, and the Dock Vent Return Pipeline and Vapor Recovery System, Items I, II and III respectively, listed on our previous semi-annual reports all continue to operate satisfactorily. They will no longer be mentioned in the semi-annual report unless changes or problems develop. i Item IV - Reroute of the Direct Chlorination Vent The Liquid Seal Flame Arrestors installed in the incineration unit on April 1, 1981 continued to operate satisfactorily during the past six month period. This allowed the direct chlorination vent to be incinerated rather than dis charged to the atmosphere. Item V - Oxychlorination Revamp and Plant Expansion Engineering progress for the conversion of the Oxychlorination Unit to pure oxygen feed is proceeding on schedule. The estimated date of completion is May 1, 1982. The updated completion dates set for the oxy revamp and plant expansion are May 1, 1983 and May 1, 1985, respectively. In the banking agreement submitted to the State on May 22, 1979 and revised on December 22, 1980, the reduction of non-exempt hydrocarbons after completion of the plant expansion is stated to be 4422 tons/yr. This total does not include methane, ethane, or propane.
