Park Blvd., Braithwaite, LA 70000, at 10:35 AM (CT) on 03/14/2023 for an unannounced inspection. EPA Region 6 Lead Inspector presented credentials to Robert Morgan and other attendees and informed them that this was a EPA Region 6 inspection to determine compliance as authorized by Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 308 and implementing regulations. This report is based on information supplied by Plaquemines Parish Government- Braithwaite WWTP representatives, direct observations made by the EPA Region 6 inspector, records and reports maintained by the permittee and other information including: photographs taken by EPA Region 6 inspector(s), physical evidence collected by the EPA Region 6 inspector(s), measurements taken by EPA Region 6 inspector(s), verbal or written statements made by information supplied by Plaquemines Parish Government- Braithwaite WWTP representatives during or subsequent to the on-site Inspection, and materials, processes, data, photographs, or documents shown, demonstrated, or submitted to the EPA Region 6 inspector(s) by Plaquemines Parish Government- Braithwaite WWTP representatives during or subsequent to the on-site Inspection. Service area includes population of approximately 100 people and 40 homes. Two lift stations in the collection system are pumped to a 30,000 gal per day activated sludge package plant. Facility discharge was clear. No solids were present and CL tablets were visible in the tablet tube. Two outside labs are used. pH analyzed on-site. Waypoint Analytical and EASI Analytical Testing and Field Services. Conducts: BOD; TSS; and Fecal Coliform Conducts: Oil and Grease; 30,000 gallon per day activated sludge package plant. Influent is treated by bar screening followed by primary sedimentation, aeration, digestion, and chlorination. Airlift used for sludge return in the treatment system was not operational at the time of the inspection. SECTION VI - CLOSING CONFERENCE AND FOLLOW UP Closing Conference The EPA Region 6 Lead Inspector held a closing conference with Facility personnel at 03:30 PM (CT) on 03/14/2023 for the inspection. During the closing conference, EPA Region 6 Lead Inspector discussed the observations and Area(s) of Concern identified during the inspection.
