The concentration in the blood has not subsided as rapidly as might have been expected considering the shortness of the period of abnormal absorption of lead, and although this is not remarkable, it bespeaks a somewhat greater total absorption of lead than was thought to have occurred. In our experience, certain symptoms induced by excessive absorption of lead, may persist for a time - but not for a long time - even after the concentration of lead in the blood has fallen below the dangerous level.
