Mr. David C. Greer Bieser, Greer & Landis Attorneys At Law 8 North Main Street Dayton, Ohio 45402
Dear Mr. Greer:
In order to get my affairs in order before leaving Cincinnati for San Francisco, I am sending you an account of my expenses in connection with the Netzley case, together with a fee bill for my services as an "expert witness who did not testify," but expended time in readiness for such testimony.
I should like at this time to thank you for your courtesy to me in the capacity indicated above. I am a bit uncertain as to charges which should be made in that cormection because of my partial disablement. However, I think it best to make
-uy charges on the basis of my previously customary formulation. That is, to put
the on the basis of a daily fee of $150.00 for days which require my absence from my office to be available in court. This does not at all relate to the value of my services in the specific instance, but rather to the value of the time in days (to me) spent in service to the client concerned through yourself.
I trust that this is an equitable procedure. I think I should say that this is the last case in which I expect to be involved, for I have been forced to recognize that I am no longer able to act effectively on my own in these matters.
Cordially yours.
