This letter is to follow up our telephone conversation of December 18, 1998. We agreed to the following action items:
1. A model product stewardship agreement and any available examples of existing product stewardship agreements would be sent to 3M.
2. 3M would begin preparing an initial draft of such a product stewardship agreement for review by EPA.
3. 3M will provide EPA copies of white papers describing a basic overview of relevant organic fluorochemistrv and a detailed review of health effects information on perfluorooctane sulfonic acid by mid-January, 1999.
4. 3M will provide EPA a copy of a preliminary exposure assessment of products derived from perfluorooctane sulfonvl fluoride chemistry by mid-February, 1999.
5. A meeting between appropriate 3M and EPA personnel will be scheduled for the second half of February, 1999 to begin more specific discussions regarding existing test results and product stewardship plans.
