Dear Ms. Getto and Mr. Bullock:
I recall that you informed me that another person in your offices had assumed responsibility for making the arrangements for the Secretary's visit to the SCI Convention and his speaking engagement during the banquet on Saturday night of the Convention. Unfortunately, I could not locate the name of that person in my notes, so I am sending this information to you with the hope that you will forward this to him and ask him to contact me.
I am attaching the most recent version of the schedule of SCI's upcoming Convention to give the Secretary some information about other Convention events he might wish to attend during his visit to Las Vegas. For example, you will note that on Saturday morning, we will be holding a Life Members' Breakfast at 8:00 A.M. Please let me know if the Secretary would like to attend that event.
Also, SCI's Foundation has invited representatives of several African nations to attend the Convention. If the Secretary would like for us to try to arrange meetings for him with the representatives from these countries on Saturday, please let me know.
We hope that the Secretary will be able to visit the Convention floor during his visit. We are currently creating a list of all the vendors from the Secretary's home state of Montana and the location of their booths, in the event that the Secretary would like to visit any of them.
Please feel free to call me to get more details about any of the specific events
identified in the schedule.
I would also appreciate it if you could please send me the information provided by the Department of the Interior's ethics personnel regarding the Secretary's visit to the SCI Convention. We would like to make certain that we ask the Secretary to participate only in activities that meet with the approval of the Department's Ethics advisors.
Thank you.
Anna
