Recently, It was brought to our attention that Westinghouse is specifying Asbestos-bearing materials for some of our products.
Listed below are two examples:
1) Turbine enclosure as manufactured by: Consolidated Fabricators, Worcester, Mass.
Dwg. 752J076, Item 037-Specifies 250 gal. of 54251 AC Insulating Compound.
2) Inlet manifolds as manufactured by: Framingham Welding and Engineering Company, Framingham, Mass.
Dwg. 724J031, Item 1-Specifies 42251 AB Gasket. Compressed Asbestos .0625 Tk.
In accordance with current OSHA regulations, as well as current Westinghouse litigation concerning Asbestos-bearing products, it is recommended that nonasbestos-bearing materials be utilized in these applications.
