Environmental Protection Agency Region 4 Air Enforcement Branch 61 Forsyth Street, SW Atlanta, Georgia 30303 INSPECTION REPORT Facility Inspected 403 Westpark Court, Suite 205 Peachtree City, Georgia 30269 Inspection Date: August 31, 2023 Facility Programmatic ID 3601564298 LAT: 33.401141 LON: -84.588407 Inspection Type Clean Air Act (CAA) National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) - Asbestos Inspector Tony Spann Introduction An inspection pursuant to Section 114 of the CAA was conducted on August 31, 2023, at 403 Westpark Court, Suite 205 in Peachtree City, Georgia 30269 (the facility). The purpose of this inspection was to determine compliance with the CAA NESHAP Asbestos Standard and the regulations promulgated at 40 C.F.R. Part 61, Subpart M, for the demolition activity conducted at the facility. The unannounced inspection was conducted by Tony Spann and Pamela Storm who possess EPA inspector credentials to conduct CAA NESHAP asbestos inspections. The inspectors obtained information prior to the inspection regarding demolition permit # PDM23-005 which was issued on May 30, 2023, by the City of Peachtree City for the demolition activity conducted at the facility. According to the demolition permit, the job description was listed as an interior demolition of the facility. The owner of the facility listed on the demolition permit was EMC 403 Westpark, LLC. The contractor listed on the demolition permit was ASI Construction, Inc. The EPA Region 4 CAA NESHAP asbestos program targets facilities for inspection located in the State of Georgia based on tips/complaints; permits issued on a local level; and demolition and/or renovation/abatement notices sent to the State. This inspection was conducted based on the previously mentioned permit. Facility Information The facility is currently The Women's Specialists of Fayette, Peachtree City, Georgia Office. Inspection Upon arrival at the facility, the EPA inspectors presented inspector credentials to the receptionist. The receptionist wished to stay anonymous. At the time of inspection, inspectors observed that no interior demolition activities were being performed. No other personnel onsite could provide the inspectors with relevant information regarding the interior demolition of the facility. Conclusion The inspectors will follow up with the contractor(s) and/or owner(s)/operator(s) listed on the demolition permit as deemed appropriate, to obtain information and necessary paperwork related to this demolition activity. This information will include, but not necessarily be limited to, copies of asbestos inspection reports and demolition notifications submitted to the Georgia Environmental Protection Division prior to the demolition activity conducted at the facility.
