When an employee requires specialist evaluation necessary to establish a definitive diagnosis, or even a reasonably probable diagnosis, site management cannot verify the diagnosis nor determine the degree of disability, if any. Medical Division concurs that without specialist evaluation, site management should not accept responsibility for the causation of the illness, determine the degree of disability, nor enter the case on the OSHA log.
