We were very sorry to learn of Professor Ishihara's death and will certainly publish the obituary you have written. It will almost certainly appear in the September issue as that is behind schedule and so has yet to go to press. Unfortunately I have been unable to embark on the editing of Dr Kehoe's manuscript yet, but I hope to do so very soon. I am sure the editing will not present any major difficulties, but there are a few practical problems on which I should like to enlist your help. (1) We shall need to have a second copy before the material can be sent to the printers. Ideally this should be in the order: text, references (could you please confirm that there is only one page of bibliography-- p. 166), tables, list of figure legends and then the figures-- but I think all the tables and figures are on separate pages, so we can just rearrange and renumber the sheets for the printers if you can send another copy like the one we have. (2) It would be helpful if you could provide the original drawings for some or all of the figures. The photocopies I have would not reproduce satisfactorily and I do not think Pergamon would be keen to undertake the redrawing of them all. There are so many, that, even if they can do it, it would take them a very long time.
