SECTION III-C-2.1 INSULATION MATERIALS ADHESIVES SLOW SET Miracle Anchor Adhesive Ho To 4620 This adhesive has an advantage over less viscous materials in that it can be used to ap^ly spindle anchors on rounded surfaces or where the anchor plate does not have full con tact with the equipment, vessel, or duct surface* It must not be applied if the surface temperatures of the equipment, vessel, or duct is below +40F or above +120F. The adhesive itself should be at room temperature before using. The surface it is to be used on must be free of grease, oils, solvents, paints, dust, and moisture. A good clean ing fluid should be used for this purpose. To apply the anchors, put a blob of 4620 about the size of a small walnut on the anchor plate then firmly press the anchor into place using a twisting motion. This will insure complete adhesion and result in a dependable bond. Adhesive is not to be thinned. No load is to.be put on the anchors until the adhesive' has thoroughly dried. Any solvent trapped beneath the insulation will permeate and soften the adhesive. Do not disturb the anchor after it ha^s been in position 20 minutes.
