L. E. Bretz, Jr. Report #8302 Page 2 2/21/80 months and some disposition should be made. The question was ashed as to whether the drum brake linings referred to in McFadden's letter dated September 5, 1979 have been scrapped or whether these are still on location at Lindsay? Please advise. Reference a letter dated January 25th from Phil GTim regarding accounts receivable files. These were all turned over to the attention of Rich Hines in Accounts Payable with the request that they be taken care of. Anthony anticipates little difficulty with these. Reference a letter dated January 3rd to Anthony from Margie Beaver and their Engineering Change No. AK-297 and AK-878 covering o.bsolete parts. Mr. Rich K. Robey, Supervisor Replacement Sales Operation continues to work on the disposition of these parts. Hopefully we will have an answer within the next couple of weeks. Delco-Moraine is presently running two shifts, six days per week. Our past shipments on Thursdays were okay when they were running five days, however, now that they are on a six day schedule, they would like it in the plant on Friday and have requested that we make shipments to them on Wednesdays rather than Thursdays. Please advise if this can be accomplished. Experimental 13015 which submitted non-asbestos/non-metallic materials for drum brakes 3027-5 and 931-162 are being put on shoes at this time. One brake set of the 3027-5 will be tested on a dyno at DelcoMoraine so that we then have a direct comparison with that and 931-83 previously reported. Material 3029-16A1 finer graphite submitted for Cadillac work is being shoed up and should be out of here by the 22nd. This is being forwarded to their Phoenix Proving Ground for continued evaluations by Cadillac covering the 1981 and 1982 model year rear drum brakes. GM has purchased from Chrysler Corporation kolmotors of Bo-gauda, Columbia and plans on assembling trucks of the 10 and 30 series and a T-car. For the 1980 year, knock-down kits and lining imports will be allowed. Mr. Gerald Jacoby has been assigned the Engineering Contact with this location and he plans a trip within the next month. The Abex interest lies in our licensee operation in Columbia and the potential business in Columbia. Mr. Jacoby will keep us appraised and advised of the status of and what we should do about it. L.
