Subject: Letter from Health Care Without Harm - the vital work of the EPA
HCWH letter to Administrator Pruitt EPA Programs 7-10-17.pdf
Dear Mr. Jackson,
It was a pleasure to meet you on June 19th at the meeting organized by the American Lung Association. Thank you for meeting with us and listening to our concerns about the impacts of air pollution and climate change on human health.
As you might recall, Health Care Without Harm works with a network of 1,800 hospitals across the country who are committed to reducing their own environmental impact to protect public health and build sustainable communities.
In order to accomplish this life-saving work, our hospitals rely on several excellent EPA programs and resources. I am attaching to this email a letter from Gary Cohen, our CEO and Co Founder, that details the significance of each of these programs for our organization's work and for the many hospitals and health systems across the U.S. who have benefited from them.
Our hope is that you will consider this letter carefully as you are making staffing and budgetary decisions, and that you will also share it with Administrator Pruitt for his consideration.
We are happy to put you in touch with staff from the hospitals we work with who could tell you first-hand how they use EPA programs. Please also let us know if you have any questions.
Again, it was nice to meet you and I look forward to working together to protect our environment and human health.
Sincerely, Jessica Wolff
