Seventeen (17) filter cassette samples and one (1) blank were
received from Dow Chemical, Plaquemine, Louisiana, for asbestos fiber
count analysis on December 7, 1983. Fibers larger than 5 microns in
length were counted by means of phase-contrast microscope at a
magnification of 400X. The procedure recommended by NI0SH (P & CAM 239)
was followed.
