Lewis Ethyl Gasoline Corporation Chry31 er Bu 11 d ing Mew York City Hew York Dear Mr, Lewis Thanks for your letter of May 233?d enclosing Mr, Ball*3 report on some experi ments and the comments of Mr, Stover as indicated in Mr, Schaefer*s letter dated May 11th, I am quite in agreement that the results of the experiment are somewhat Inconclusive, I think, furthermore, that the experiments of Calingaert and the calculations made on the basis of those experiments are probably adequate in determining the extent to which lead might be expected to be concentrated in a storage tank as the result of steaming procedures. However I hasten to 3ay that I have not the slightest objection to any experimentation 'which anyone may V7;sh to carry out on his own in order to obtain additional facts, or in order to satisfy his own questions and his own curiosity. All I ask in relation to stich experiments, is that we have an opportunity to examine the data care fully and critically in order that any general information and conclusions made available to the safety staff of the Corporation may be carefully siffesd.
