(a) Orange, Two coats of orange paint composed of approximately 70 per cent pigment and. 30 per cent vehicle. The vehicle shall contain approximately 85$ perr cent by weight of raw linseed oil, a minimum of 5 per cent of spar varnish ana a maximum of 10 per cent of drier. The pigment composition shall be approximately as follows: Chrome Yellow (orange, type l), 82 per cent; zinc oxide (.dry) o per cent; white lend (type l), maximum 3 per cent.; light proof lake Coloring (if necessary), 1 per cent; and silicates, maximum ? per cent. Coarse particles and steins (retained on a ho. 3L5 screen) shall r.'at exceed 10 per cent. The paint shall weigh not less than 15-3/4 pounds per gallon. For the first coat, a part of the chrome yellow shall he replaced by white lead to give a perceptible difference in shade between the two coats'-. The paint as received shall_ be satisfactory for use-. It" shall be well ground, shall not settle badly nor cake in the container, shall be readily broken up with paddle to a smooth, uniform paint of good brushing- consistency* and shall dry within 1G hours to a full or semi-loss without running', streaking or sagging-
