Remarks Initially we had only Noxide One Day Primer Red in the line. In 1957 a' gray primer was added to provide the means for doing two-coat work under white and light tints. In I960 both the Red arid Gray primers were revised to incorporate an orange-colored rust''iphib.lt.ive pigment. This pigment, basic lead silico-chromate, altered the. color of the primers. The Red became yellower and the Gray deeper and slightly redder. It is now possible to obtain equal rust inhibitive properties with a white pigment, dibasic lead phosphite. This rust inhibiting pigment is more costly to use, but it does permit the formulation of a white primer which further improves the appearance of twocoat work . SPECIFICATIONS NEW WORK - First Coats Noxide Red Lead Primer or Noxide One Day Primer. Second Coats Noxide Metal Paint, each gallon thinned with one pint mineral spirits (do NOT thin Aluminum or Natural Graphite). Third Coats Noxide MetaX Paint. OLD WORK - Spot prime bare spot3. Apply one or, preferably, two coats Noxide Metal Paint. If two coats are applied, thin first coat as for new work# / \ W. G. RINGLE 0007-PTL-000758 MU>MtPM-UaA |(26M
