I need not belabor the changes which have been made here and there in words and expressions and I mention them only to say that in ray opinion you have every right to reject that kind of change and revert to your own expressions. This applies particularly to the letter to the Field personnel of Ethyl Corporation. The areas of change in which I have much more interest are not merely changes in expression. You will notice that I have eliminated from your letter to the Field the first two sentences of paragraph 4 and substituted a3 the last sentence of paragraph 3 the statement that specific instructions will be sent out at a later time. It seems to me that since I am sure these specific instructions are to be provided, it is unnecessary to make any remarks whatsoever about what will be required of them. This change is also due to the fact that I have some question about the accuracy of the statement made in the second sentence of paragraph 4. You will notice also that I have deleted from the letter to the Field people the last part of the paragraph which occurs as the first item on Page 2 and which concerns the problem of dust arising from the dry sludge. I think it best not to mention this problem at all because 1 question the conplete accuracy of what has been said. This matter I can discuss with you when I see you in New York. As I have already stated to you I am going to suggest that Mr. H. K. Ball - (2) - 18 July 1960 during the trial or testing period that the temperatures of the sludge be determined as well as the ambient temperature. This is another matter which can be discussed when I see you. I am sorry that i have not put this material in your hands as early as I had anticipated. I alone am responsible for this delay.
