Akron, Ohio Dear Mr. McCormick: This refers to your letter of March Ik and previous correspon dence regarding the acceptability of plastic films containing Geon 100X26S for use in contact with federally inspected meat food products. The points raised in your letter have been given careful con sideration; however, in view of the fact that extractability studies have not, according to the information in our file, been carried out on a plastic film containing Santomerse D or other wetting agent and large amounts of the rather soluble plasticizer, Santicizer iflkl, it is believed such studies, as requested in our letter of February 7, should be undertaken.
