It would therefore be of interest to know if exposure to lead has ever caused cancer in the human population. Although the tumours which v/e have, observed... have been limited to the- kicmejry it is possible that the action of .lead..capes- on other species might induce cancer at some other site or even leukaemia. An example of this is the dyestuff butter yellow which given to rats induced cancer of the liver, but in dogs induced cancer of the bladder.
