The Honorable Andrew R. Wheeler Acting Administrator Environmental Protection Agency 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. Washington, D C. 20460
Dear Acting Administrator Wheeler:
The National Mining Association (NMA) cordially invites you to address the fall 2018 meeting of our board of directors, scheduled for Sept. 13-14 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D C. NMA's board of directors is comprised of CEOs from the major U S producers of coal, metal and minerals, as well as the manufacturers of mining equipment and technology.
Your administration recognizes that domestic mining is a key part of a vibrant U S. economy--providing the raw materials and affordable energy required for a growing manufacturing sector, rebuilding our infrastructure and creating middle class jobs.
We thank you in advance for your consideration and hope your schedule will permit you to give remarks on Thursday, Sept. 13, during the morning General Session or an alternative would be to address the NMA directors during a breakfast Friday morning, Sept. 14.
Please advise if there is anything that NMA can do to assist you and your staff to make
the appropriate arrangements by contacting Rich Nolan, Senior Vice President of
Government Affairs, at
Ex. 6 or rnoSan@nma.org.
Sincerely,
Hal Quinn
