The synthetic rubber binder shall be nitrile. 7.0 Microstructure: Not applicable. 8.0 Mechanical Properties: 8.1 The average tensile strength transverse to the grain direc tion shall be 2000 psi minimum as determined by ASTM F-104-68T. 8.2 The compressibility and recovery shall be tested as per ASTM F-104-68T.
