L'ndcr his guidance, the company's sales have more than tripled and the number of em ployees has almost doubled. Mr. Shipley was just re-elected to a two-year term as director and member of the executive committee of International Nickel Com pany of Canada, Limited. Tube Cleaner Divisions L. A. Kunzlcr, who has been sales man ager of the Lagonda Tube Cleaner Divi sion for the past ten years, becomes both general manager and sales manager of the tube cleaner divisions. He has been with the company since 1935, was in the Tulsa of fice before he was made field manager in Springfield in 1942. V. H. Baker, who for the past eight years has been manager of Elliott Company's tube cleaner divisions, has retired as of May 1, but is being retained with the company on a consulting engineering basis. Mr. Baker has completed 42 years of service with the company, most of this with the Lagonda Tube Cleaner Division. He was chief engi neer at Springfield for many years. J. A. Glasgow has been appointed chief engineer of tube cleaner divisions. Mr. Clasgow has been with Elliott Company since 1926, has been an engineer at Springfield since 1937. Speakers H. Steen-Johnsen, chief turbine engineer of Elliott Company was the speaker at an ASME meeting in Trenton, N. J., on April 20. Theme of the meeting was "The In dustrial Turbine--its future design and place in the power field." Mr. StccnJohnsen covered "The future industrial turbine and its application." The meeting was sponsored by the Trenton Subsection, the Power and Process Industries Depart ment, Professional Division of the Phila delphia Section ASME, co-sponsored by the Power Division, with participation by the Process Industries Division. L. S. Stinson, development contracts de partment of Elliott Company is co-author of a paper along with W. J. Bohnet, re search engineer, Metals Research Labora tories, Electro-Metallurgical Company of Niagara Falls, which is being presented at the semiannual meeting of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in Pitts burgh, June 24.
