First, regarding an annual day commemorating the victims of communism. I have attached a letter to President Trump signed by the Foundation's Chairman Lee Edwards and Executive Director Marion Smith, as well as some leading American activists who have had a personal experience of the crimes committed by communist regimes, requesting that the President proclaim November 7 the United States' annual day commemorating the victims of communism. I have also attached a draft Presidential Proclamation for this purpose. The Foundation would be grateful if you can please ensure that this request receives the attention of the President. Second, regarding the Victims of Communism Centennial Commemoration this November 7-9. As I mentioned, the Centennial Commemoration dinner will take place in the main hall of Washington's Union Station on the evening of November 9 at 7:00PM.
