Dr* Ed* P* Kotershall 281*1 ^est 25th Street Cleveland, Ohio
Dear Dr* Kotershall*
X wish herewith to send you a notation on findings in the excreta of your patient Mr< __ I believe that Dr* Sehradin has dissussed the ease with you and it is hardly necessary, therefore, for me to make any additional comments, The findings were as follows*
Urine
Lead Pound 0*00
Faece3 .
"
Lead Pound
0*32 gs*
Lead in mgs*
per gram of ash 0*05
The absence of lead in the urine indicates the lack of recent appreciable lead exposure* The findings in the faeces are at the lower level of normal results* Thus the lead analyses do not indicate any evidence of oecupational lead exposure* . The blood showed no stippling*
We should b e v e r y grateful.to you if you would let us know when Mr*^J(B^retairns to work at the same occupation* If it seems desirable at a later date, we can obtain samples while tie is at work and such samples should give ua a better idea of, whether or net he is having any unusual lead exposure*
Dr* Sehradln has told me that you would like to have some of the reprints which have to do with the hazards of this occupation* I am sending you by separate cover a somewhat lengthy report whlch has not.been made public but
which will appear in essentially unmodified form as one chapter of a monograph on lead absorption and lead poisoning which I hope to have prepared for printing within the next twelve months* The work described in this article is the latest work which has been done on the subject, and in my opinion is by all odds the most conclusive evidence which is available* >
Dr* Kd* F.
. Allow me to in permitting ua to see
