K- see. 1.2b When segmental covering is used over the 1st layer the longitudinal joints of each shall be staggered as much as is practical but the stagger shall not be less than 1-1/2 inches. 1.2c Normally when using either tri-seg. or quad-seg. cover ing, as the 2nd layer, a good stagger can be attained but-;when using K-seg. as the outer layer it may be necessary to rip one segment to maintain the required stagger. 1.2d When using segmental covering as the outer layer on vertical pipe the same stagger shall be maintained as was used on the horizontal pipe. B 2 CIRCUMFERENTIAL JOINTS B 2.1 SECTIONAL COVERING 2.1a The circumferential joints of outer layer sectional covering shall be staggered IS". 2.1b One half of the section shall be 36" long and the other half IS" long. 2.1c They shall be positioned over the 1st layer as shown in Figures 79A & B.
