When questioned about the X-ray program and previous visits by the Phila. mobile unit she was uncertain of exact-.details. ;She is going to check,into it. Visit will.be miade again. 12/30/70 ' 7 ' Visit lias made to check on above recommendations^ Information was obtained for the AR forms. All the open end ducts have been sealed. These open ducts were supposed to reduce dust concentrations in the general air. I.H.' explained that this was reducing the effectiveness of the LEV on other operations. Mr. Mangano said that there are no adverse effects in this regard since the ducts have been sealed. As is evidenced by the resu lts o f th study* the; du8t concentrations had been reduced by the renovation of the:,exhaust systeai; More so than the duet oon-> centrations, the improved housekeeping has proven th e wisdom o f repairing the ductwork, hood's and fans. The additional changes that the management has in 'mind such as the elimination of the rest of the old ductwork, the plaoing of individual movable hoods over eaoh saw,: w ill- improve conditions further.
