Dear Mr. Mack: I am forwarding to you herewith two copies of an analytical reoort on the semole of scale referred to in your letter of July 19. I send the two copies, since you may wish to transmit all of the information on this point to the Hew York office. Considering the very low organic lead content of this scale., it is quite apparent that there is no significant exposure involved. On the other hand, if this material were suspended in the air in the form of dust, there might he a significant concentration of lead of the inorganic variety. It is interest- ' ing to recognize! that dusts containing such minute concentrations, of organic lead compounds are capable of producing irritation of the eyes and nose.
