Asbestos survey was Intended for asbestos containing dust at the sixer charging operation.
At time of inspection, .Ur* Hertrick, asst, plant mgr., did not know duration of asbestos
exposure, Mr. Pacheski indicated that this duration was 5 or 10 minutes for once or
twice a day. No asbestos was M i n g used this day.
Note
Discussed this with H. Heller and reviewed various aspects of asbestos exposures. K
return visit will be made to review the operations in detail to decide whether or not a

To Ictap dust exposures at a ratniaaias, the practices of xhausti*^ the batch mixers and requiring employees to wear approved-type respirators when charging the mixers should be continued.
It should also be emphasized that cases of lung disease have occurred among workers exposed to low duet concentrations. The program of giving annual cheat X-ray examinations to all etsployeea engaged in dusty operations should also be continued.
