In this meeting seventeen specific Items of safety were discussed; four will be handled by Safety Suggestions, and twelve will be handled Internally. The following safety Item Is recommended for Board consideration: Plant Lighting In some areas the general lighting Is inadequate. There was a time when the Department 18 flare lit up most of the west plant, however, through oper ational changes the flare Is normally only burning pilot lights. The problem of lighting the roadway between Departments 18 and 4l (back road) was raised again In our meeting. The problem is not limited to this one Btreet or area because others have been discussed at various times -- the truck-route street and railroad north of VCM and Department 19, and the street between VCM and Department 18. The Committee would appreciate an appraisal of the plant lighting situation. SC 16724 /Jw HOURLY SAFETY COMMITTEE Joe D. Bonnette, Chairman LAN1023993
