Dear Doctor Magnusen: I have completed the memorandum which I promised to forward to you, if so lengthy a tuae can properly be called a memoran dum, and it is being reproduced by multilith. A few days will be required for this purpose and it will be on its way. It is documented by references, but the material represented by some of the references is not readily available, and 1 shall be guided by your wishes as to the extent to which the available documents should be supplied. All of them can be supplied in one form or another if they are necessary, either for present information or for the record. I shall not delay sending the memorandum until they have been provided, and until I hear from you, I shall turn to other pressing work. - While I am waiting for the reproduction of the memorandum, I'd like to know how many copies to send to you. The copies are being bound in our standard report covers, so that they can be kept for reference as desired. They could be numbered and a record kept of their whereabouts if you should regard this as desirable. I have in mind providing a limited number of copies to responsible persons in the two Companies, but since the report is intended for your disposition, primarily, I should be glad if you were to prescribe their disposition if you wish to do so. If, on the other hand, you prefer to leave this to my discretion, after you have determined the number you wish supplied to you, I shall follow that course. I regret the delay in getting this into your hands, but it turned out to be a fairly large task, and unfortunately, I could not drop everything else so as to complete it promptly. Sincerely yours.
