April 17# 1936 Dr. Graham Edgar Ethyl Gasoline Corporation Chrysler Building Hew York City Hew York My dear Edgars I have at last gotten to the business of binding together various articles into a book which will probably be useful for giving rather full information with regard to leaded gasoline, I am enclosing herewith an abbreviated table of contents and a short preface# I would be glad to have your suggestions and criticisms as to the suitability of the various Items of material, and;-also as to the preface, I am having certain of the articles reprinted of which xay supply is low,and I am sure we can have the work of binding done her as satisfactorily and as cheaply as it can be done in Hew York in as much as we have a considerable volume of this kind of work from time to time* I suggest, therefore, that if this idea meets with your approval that you send me the available copies of the thick pamphlet on ttHormal lead, etc.51 together with a corresponding number of copies of "An Appraisal of the Lead Hazards Associated with the Distribution and Use of Leaded Gasoline * Part I have an adequate supply of. the article with a similar title ** Part XI* I seem to remember that you had about 110 copies of the thick booklet. If you have any considerable excess over this of the second article (l*e. Part I) that I have mentioned, I would be very glad if you would send me &bat you can spare up to about 25 copies On receipt of your comments, I will proceed at one to have the neeessary materials printed and have these all bound together at the earliest possible time, after which we can discuss the manner of dissemination of the prepared book* I find that on my last trip abroadI took my last remaining copy of the Bureau of Mines report with me, and gave it to someone. This leaves me without a copy for my own file although I do have one copy for the Jraham Edgar 2 library. If you have any of these on hand, I should appreciate very much having on or two copies.
