This pertains primarily to showing Dick our equipment* how it is used and why* and making our test methods available. 4. Dick wants help in selecting proper plasticizers for Uvalde products. Background: Uvalde's tile plant is'- located in Houston and their headquarters office is in San Antonib* Texas. They produce VAT* a non-asbestos transluscent tile* and a minor volume of asphalt tile. Sheet goods are not made. Monsanto has lOQfo _of Uvalde's plasticizer requirements. 1971 sales reached 3*3 M pounds of Santicizer l6-0 ($520 M). First quarter 1972 sales were 650 M pounds ($103 M) of S-loO and the 1972 budget is 3.6 M pounds. Specific Interest Areas from Uvalde: 1. Plasticizer migration in VAT - Dick is bringing 5 samples for us to run the Cowle's Test during the visit. 2. Plastisol wear layer - equipment* techniques and formulations should be discussed for making and applying on both lab and commercial scale.
