Miniard, FPM, the interest in biological effects of asbestos dust and particals when working vrith insulation materials and asbestos products. Miniard proposed I review with T. Brooks the list of questions you and 2 discussed prior to the trip. Brooks' comments were as follows: Limpet appears to be the most economical material to insulate large areas even with strict safety regulations i. e., men wearing respirators or air masks, woric done in restricted areas away from other operations. When a satis factory material is approved, we suggest it be considered as a substitute for asbestos cloth. Regarding the application of Limpet, it should not be sprayed indoors and only in roped off areas with all personnel in area to wear cartridge respirator in addition to ail other safety equipment. The respiratory disease problem is an occupational hazard and if safety precautions are used both in our shops and in field application, we can reduce the hazards to the minimum.
