The surveillanceprogram has generallyconsistedof annualor biannualtestsof clinical chemistriesp,ulmonary function,blood countsand a biomonitorof fluorochemical exposure.A totalorganicfluorinemeasurement was performeduntil1993. This measures the amount offluorinethatwas covalentlybound to carbon inthe serum sample. When testdatawere availablea,company physicianreviewed each employee's results.These physiciansdid not,and have not,found abnormalitiesinindividualtshat they feltwere relatedtofluorochemicalexposure.
