I like the revised letter to the Pis on the publications. On the timeline, I have a suggested alternative - not that different from Jennifer's. I like the idea of getting a big one printed, so we can all see it and add to it as we meet with the Pis. Suggest that we send whatever we agree on to the Pis as another communication, so they can be thinking about it. (See attached file: Shanhai Health Study TC letter XOM.doc) Regarding the timeline: - Should case enrollment be completed by 1/1/07 versus 1Q07 ? - Aren't progress reports issued two times a year? Lynn Russo suggested we could have more of a dialogue with the PI's on where the specific items fit -- perhaps during the TC/OC meeting with the PI's on November 3 -- rather than sending the PI's something that is different from their views and perhaps creating issues as a result. If others agree, we could put together a time line with progress reports and end of enrollment only, and then a list of things we want to place on the timeline. (We can get the graphics folks here in Fairfax to do a large timeline that all can see and tape or Post-It the items where they belong as a group exercise.) The list of items to discuss: - Data collection complete (diagnoses, controls, interviews, etc.) - Exposure assessments completed - Epi analysis completed - Key publication: Disease progression - Key publication: Case control - Key publication: ME SH ELL-MCCLU RG-060220 - Key results at a Symposium Two more for discussion but that maybe wait for company only group to decide: - SRP/ERP terms end - Consortium disbands We would welcome comments from others on this approach and particularly on the list of items.
