He was under your care in April, 1943# at which time you are quoted as saying that he had some evidence of Pb poisoning. I am enclosing a copy of my examination. We do not feel that his present symptomatology and his total disability are on a basis of lead intoxication. However, the recent blood lead levels are above the normal limits. Shis finding, if confirmed, suggests some recent exposure, because the blood lead falls to normal a few months following cessation of exposure* no matter how severe this exposure may have been. Since it is of great importance to Mr. Williams and to the company to have the question of possible lead poisoning settled, it would be of value to them to have these blood and urine studies repeated. If you are willing to procure these samples for us, we will send you immediately the necessary lead-free needles and test-tubes for collecting the samples.
