We have a constituent in Two Harbors, Minnesota, who is reporting to work today at the FAA facility in Minneapolis (the closest FAA facility to him) as required by the end of the work-from-home policy. However, this individual was granted work-from-home status before the pandemic, and he and his family moved 180 miles from an FAA facility as a result of this negotiated status. b)(6) has no issue with returning to in-person work, but he is hoping he can work at another government facility in the Duluth area instead. He has, on his own accord, reached out to the US Forest Service facility and US EPA facility nearby, and they both said they could make room for him should the FAA make the request. b)(6) and his manager have asked FAA leadership if this is possible, but their emails have gone unanswered. This is not something new, as the FAA put out a fact sheet on the employee website that said this could be allowed on a "case-by-case" basis (see screen grab below). Can we get (b)(6) an answer?
