Met ropol it an Life Insurance Company N e w Yo r k Ci t y HORACE R. BASSFORD ojicluart/ June 22, 1936. Dr. Robert A. Kehoe,. College of Medicine, University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio. * Dear Dr. Kehoe, We are pleased to acknowledge receipt of your letter of June 17th. Since data are not available to show the number of employees engaged in '`mixing" work on December 31st of each calendar year, we shall make such estimates as are required for our calculations. In regard to Table 5 of your paper (the proofs of which you gave us), we should like to inquire as to the correctness of our interpre tation of the column "Length of Service": are we correct in assuming that 8 years, for example, would apply to employees engaged in mixing for at least eight complete years but not more than nine, and that "1 year or less" 7;ould include all those so employed for less than two complete years? If we have misinterpreted this table we should appreciate your correcting us. We expect to complete our calculations within a short time, and shall be pleased to send you our results. Thanking you for the trouble you have taken to acquaint us with the situation, I am Very truly yours,
