Salem, New Jersey 08079 Dear Jay: I am responding to your letter of May 18, 1982 regarding Tarkett's position on the continued manufacture of asbestos felt for sale to Mannington. Tarkett will of course, provided permitted by law, honor its obligations under the agreement with you and will expect Mannington to do the same. However, I once again want to draw your attention to the dangers and hazards of asbestos, which in our opinion is exposing your company to considerable financial risk. Consequently, it would therefore be advantageous for Mannington to convert in the near future to Saturn material, which would eliminate the risks for'Mannington. I believe that there has been some misunderstanding within your company and that the above will clarify the matter in order that our long lasting good relationship will continue.
