I believe you will be interested to know that Mr. Hillman's inquiry to you was generated by the fact that he is serving as chairman of a Committee on Childhood Lead Poisoning of the Sew York Paint, Varnish and Lacquer Association by appointment of Mr. Clarence vf, Slocum, Presi dent of that Association and Vice President of Devos & Paynolds. Both of these men and a number of their associates are taking an active and in every way commendable interest in this difficult problem and several of your medical colleagues, inclading Tony Lanza and George lYheatley, are helping with advice and counsel.
