TH E AMERICAN ROAD DEARBORN, MICHIGAN February 21, 1958 Robert A.j Kehoe, M.D. The Kettering Laboratory College of Medicine - Eden Avenue University of Cincinnati Cincinnati 19, Ohio Dear Bob: I was interested to receive your comments in regard to research [projects relative to air pollution as a result of internal combustion engines. Your suggestions, comments and recommendations will certainly receive favorable consider ation before any project is started. Our Health Committee of the Automotive Manufacturers Association is an ad hoc committee and is more or less exploring its way at the present time. We are convinced that any research project which is started should be completely thought out and well planned for long-term study. Prior to initiating such study, it is our present thinking that we will have a meeting with representatives of several, research centers and authorities in many of the interested fields, and then be guided by the recommendations of this group. I am stare that either you or a representative of your department will be invited to attend this preliminary meeting. With best regards, Sincerely, E. A.
