Your question concerning the publication of our results is by no means out of order, and I am glad to answer it. The matter of publication is one on which we always reserve judgment. We never qualify our right to publish, but we often omit publication when we consider that {1} there are good reasons for so doing, and U ) when no question of public interest, is involved. Ours is a public and professional responsibility which we cannot compromise. After discussion of your problem we could probably give you a pretty good idea of the probabilities with respect to publication, but, of course, if questions of fact were raised of us by hygienic or medical authorities, we would give them the benefit of our opinions and the reasons behind them.
